"$ 30 Writing School" by Michael W. Dean is a comprehensive grave of information for the budding writer. It is not a rich kind of book promises you a world of wealth as an author, but rather one on the ground, on nuts and bolts operations manual on many aspects of writing. Along the way, Dean also quite a bit of motivation for the new writers as well as sharing much of his own journey and experience.

Dean writes in a conversational manner, and contains many of his ownpersonal anecdotes about life as a writer. He acknowledges that some people do make a lot of money to write, but not many. While he is a full-time writer, he has no expensive cars, villas, and the like. He also admits he would not trade the writing life for others.

Some readers do not like Dean's like those of his former drug use and several friends on many occasions. Likewise, some might not like his frequent references to his other works. I have personallynothing about it, and felt it helps to know Dean was a little better. Perhaps not want about the girls he dated, who know mainly two cute girls at the same time in their 20's, while he is 40. Again I must say, this book contains some good writing advice. Dean offers practical suggestions for writing and selling, and illustrates the process with his own experiences.
